When Smart Wayfinding Is the Key

Providence Hospital — a member of the St. John Health System — has medical centers throughout Southeast Michigan. Since 1996 Providence has relied on SignGraphix for distinctive and effective signage. In particular, SignGraphix has created interior and exterior signage for the main Providence Hospital campuses in Southfield and Novi.

Recently, when Providence built a new Southfield emergency center, it entrusted the facility’s wayfinding system to SignGraphix. Delivering a start-to-finish solution, the SignGraphix team handled everything from planning and design through implementation. And the resulting system has proven flexible enough to accommodate the many directional modifications Providence has had to make at this busy location.

Facility planners at Providence confirm that the new signs have met their chief goal of directing people clearly. Providence is now aiming to recapture “the SignGraphix touch” across the full range of its facilities.
