From Tough Specs to a Total SolutionWhen judges, attorneys, administrators, and the public moved into the State of Michigan’s new Hall of Justice in 2002, they found a complete, consistent signage system already in place. Exterior and interior signs pointed people clearly to where they needed to go within the Lansing facility’s expansive grounds and corridors. The building’s signs worked so well, in fact, that few observers could have known just how complicated it was for SignGraphix to bring the whole system together. Sign specifications could only be described as rigorous. Signs crafted from fine mahogany and special stains were fit to extremely tight tolerances within expensive bronze castings. Of particular challenge was the need to coordinate the efforts of many specialty suppliers, including woodworkers and foundries. Yet the SignGraphix team rose to the task, delivering on time and within budget — and fully to specification. |
