SignGraphix first worked with Delta College in the mid-1990s to help plan, design, and implement new signs for the school’s Planetarium and Science Learning Center in downtown Bay City, Michigan.

Since then, SignGraphix has continuously assisted Delta with a wide range of signage needs. These efforts have supported ongoing renovations of the school’s main campus in University Center, Michigan, near Bay City, Saginaw, and Midland.

At Delta’s heart is a rectangular central building branching off into several wings. The overall capacity of this structure is close to 1 million square feet.

“SignGraphix has provided us with a complete, coordinated signage solution,” says Linda Petee of Delta’s facilities management staff. “From the time visitors drive up to our main campus and park, through walking our hallways and finding the right rooms, they’re led every step by an attractive and effective wayfinding system.”

Delta seeks to maintain a clean, professional appearance throughout its facilities. Of particular challenge were the school’s public posting boards. “These can look so chaotic when students simply staple or tape their flyers onto a kiosk,” notes Petee.

In an innovative approach, SignGraphix installed framed, fabric-backed boards offering an orderly layout and easy-to-use grip rails. These installations allow Delta students to neatly post their printed messages ranging from small to poster-size.
